Day 3 of the Adventure: The Girl who Cooks with Flowers and the Concert of the Evangelical Church in Sebes

In just two months you will get on the first authentic Romanian tourist train and therefore we have to tell you about the activities we have prepared for you for the third day of the Transylvania Train adventure.

We will wake up in one of the most charming medieval Romanian fortresses, but we have no time to lose, the program is very busy and the time is waiting for no one. After a night spent in Alba Iulia, the train is eagerly waiting for us to travel to one of the symbolic cities of the country: the medieval Mullbach or today’s Sebes, a town founded in the 12th century by the Saxons who reached the call of the king of Hungary.

Here we will enjoy a rare thing, an exceptional artistic performance: the old Romanesque basilica, the most imposing monument in Sebes, will open its gates, and the choir and organ of 1893 will delight us with a classical music concert.

After a visit to the Church of Sebes a special program waits for us: Claudia Romana-Rista, the girl who cooks with flowers, awaits us to offer a gastronomic traditional experience. At this workshop we will split in groups and prepare traditional dishes based on Transylvanian recipes.

Later on, of course, we will all eat the dishes cooked by each group. After this memorable gastronomic experience, we again board the train and we head to Sibiu, where we will arrive around 18:00. From here we will board the coach to get to the Astra Museum, namely the Carciuma din Batrani, a traditional inn where for two hours the joy and the stories will be the special ingredients of a cheerful and relaxing dinner. On the third day we will spend the most time in the train, enjoying the stories of the times when the powerful fortifications of Transylvania kept the Turks away.

In the evening, the train will be in Sibiu, and here we will either stay at the Continental Hotel or Ibis Hotel, both being located in the city center.

Stay in the area, the story is not over, Day 4 is about to come! ????
