Book a Place in the Transylvania Train Adventure!
In the nineteenth century, with the invention of means of transport such as the airship, the internal combustion engine, or the steam locomotive, journeys became accessible to the general public, thus gaining a touristic purpose. The journey we are describing here is not a mere travel from point A to point B, but rather a journey into a new world and implicitly a widening of cultural horizons. In other words, you are traveling, discovering and equally rediscovering yourself..
From 31st of August to 3rd of September 2017, we expect you to take part in a special trip on 40 wheels powered by 2000 horses! Transylvania Train is a unique program in Romania, where you will have the opportunity to explore the most beautiful areas of Transylvania and to know authentic Saxon culture.
The adventure consists of a four-day train trip, flexible and personalized, including educational and recreational activities. In the meantime, you will follow a route that includes cities full of history, you will attend wine tasting, outdoor diner, traditional tiling workshops or medieval ironmongery. In addition to these activities, you will take part in photo classes, medieval or horseback riding courses, cycle tours and, perhaps, you will discover new passions.
The train will leave from Brasov while accompanied by the sound of the fanfare and you will cross the heart of Transylvania, passing through cities like Brasov, Saschiz, Sighisoara, Medias, Alba Iulia, Sebes, Sibiu and Fagaras. Alba Carolina Fortress is one of the largest fortifications with bastions in Southeastern Europe and just one of the historical monuments whose story you will find while visiting with our guides.
More specifically, the Transylvania Train project aims to bring together people with common passions and concerns and give them the opportunity to have a living dialogue. In the strong sense of the word. Also, with the conception and organization of the program, we also took into account the music enthusiasts. Thus, you will take part in rare and exclusive events such as the concert of the Philharmonic Orchestra Sibiu or the organ concert of the Church in Sebes, where you will be delighted with exceptional interpretations of some areas of Brahms and Wagner. At the same time, we have prepared for you a tour to visit the famous Haferland region, also known as the “Land of the Oats”, a Saxon region formed by the Saxon villages Fiser, Rupea, Viscri, Saschiz, Roades, Crit, Cloasterf and Mesendorf.
So, we’re launching the invitation to join a unique adventure, promising you also to remind you of the moments spent in the five bistro coaches, discussions with local guides, wine tasting or traditional workshops.
You can take the first step here.
