We rarely find wooden objects so durable and beautiful as they were a hundred years ago. Therefore, their restoration, although it is a painful one, is very important. Not only does it bring to light the days of history, but an old chest, a wardrobe eaten by caries or a well-painted bench tell us the stories of people and places. Ion Constantinescu from Biertan lives in a 300-year-old house which he has restored almost by himself.
